The Lord of the Rings

Rivendell is home to many ancient and powerful Elves, though specific male characters are often unnamed or have minor roles in the main narrative. The most prominent Elf male within Rivendell is Lord Elrond.

Elrond, a Half-elven lord, rules Rivendell. He is a wise and powerful leader, possessing immense knowledge and skill in healing and strategy. Born in the First Age, he chose an Elven fate after the War of Wrath. He is the father of Arwen, Elladan, and Elrohir.

Other Elves residing in Rivendell include unnamed warriors, smiths, and scholars. They represent the remnants of a fading age, holding onto Elven traditions and knowledge in the face of the rising power of Men and the encroaching darkness of Sauron. They aid the Fellowship during their time in Rivendell, providing counsel and supplies.
